We see ads on the internet, in newspapers, on television and any one can be bought by the billions of dollars that is flowing into our political system. Some are informational, some are false and some are just plain inflaminatory. Be smart and learn the truth.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
Are you fed up with our politicians? Bickering, posturing and generally doing with they want not what is good for this country and it's people. Democrats, Independents and Republicans are being assaulted with the idiocy of a few people who want to change our country and provide even more power to a very small group of the super wealthy.
The Tea Party is not the answer it maybe part of the problem.
It is time to start a true American revolution and put the power back into the hands of the American people not professional politicians and others who have been bought by the horrendous amount of money that is now flowing into the pockets of our elected officials or into the elections through donations that are not tracked or in the open. Thanks to a Supreme Court that is politically active more seats in congress to be bought by big business.
First off, the information that is presented here is a step to think about. How much is possible I have no idea but if this information is passed around enough and gets into the hands of the general population then someone will know what is doable.....obvious our politicans will not vote something like this into law but if enough of the people band together we may see some major changes by people power!
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. We should have done this Years ago. THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!
